The Chambrah is our updated version of the traditional Chambray. You might guess from the name that we make them with local Aloha. We've replaced the traditional chambray white thread, normally used as the weft, with colors local to Hawaii. This Kona blue sky version has classic pearl snaps and a 'Ōhi'a Lehua embroidery on the cuff.
Chambray is the original blue collar. Legend says it dates from the 1500s. Denim’s older brother—they differ in weave only—Chambray is strong, yet lightweight. For years it’s been a work wear favorite for cowboys and all those who need a shirt that’s cool under pressure. It'll stand up to a morning of shoveling snow on Mauna Kea to fuel an afternoon tailgate & snowball fight down on Kohanaiki Beach.
Our Chambrah runs bigger in the chest and waist than our printed shirts. If you like the more tailored fit of our printed shirts, choose a size down for this item.
